Blaison-Gohier

we got back on the road, had a long drive back to angers and then to a small town called Blaison-Gohier along the Loire river valley.

I really enjoyed driving all day, in the sun, blasting classical music, and racing through ancient countrysides of Brittany.

we hadn’t downloaded directions the night before, so we had to drive into Angers to get wifi. it was a really interesting small city and we wished we could have more time to walk around it. finally got the right directions (google was showing us three different locations for our destination), and we drove through little towns along the Loire that had beautiful old stone walls that would go one for a mile - vast old estates.

we stayed with Eric and his family that night. Eric had renovated an old school house in the town, and it was a beautiful and bright space to play in. he invited many different people for the show, and everyone brought food and wine and there was a great feast. again there were around 40 people there, this time of all ages. we played two sets again, to give people time to talk and get more wine. the concert was great, we felt already in the swing of the tour and really got into the songs and the audience felt it.
